Competitor Tracking
Competitor Tracking#
What it is: Sets up a weekly monitoring job that automatically tracks subscriber and view growth for up to 5 competitor channels, then sends you an in-app notification and email report every Monday.
What it produces#
- A weekly snapshot report showing subscriber and view changes for each tracked channel
- New video alerts for any channel that published since the last report
- In-app notifications (bell icon in the top bar)
- An HTML email delivered every Monday at 08:00 UTC
How to use it#
Setting up a tracking job#
- Go to Tools → Competitor Tracking → + New Job.
- Select your brand.
- Add competitor channels — paste channel URLs, @handles, or channel IDs.
- The limit depends on your plan (see below).
- If you've saved channels from Collab Potential, they appear as quick-add suggestions.
- Give the job a name (optional).
- Click Start Tracking.
The first report is generated immediately. Weekly reports run automatically every Monday.
Viewing reports#
Click any job in the tracking list to open its detail page. Use the report selector to browse historical snapshots going back up to 52 weeks.
Each report card shows:
- Channel avatar, name, subscriber count
- Delta badges — green for growth, red for decline
- New videos published since the last report
Plan limits#
| Plan | Max competitors per job |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 |
| Plus | 3 |
| Pro / Business / Enterprise | 5 |
Pausing and archiving#
From the job detail page:
- Pause — stops weekly reports (no data is lost)
- Archive — marks the job as archived; it disappears from the active list
Tips#
- Set up one tracking job per competitor group (e.g. "Direct competitors", "Aspirational channels").
- The delta is calculated against the previous week's snapshot, so week 1 will show no deltas — they appear from week 2 onwards.
- Check the New Videos section in the report to see what content competitors published and whether any video is performing unusually well.
