Caption Maker#

What it is: Adds styled, burned-in captions to any video. A two-phase workflow lets you review and edit the transcript before the final video is rendered.

What it produces#

A captioned MP4 video with your chosen caption style burned in. The output is ready to upload directly to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or any other platform.

How to use it#

Phase 1 — Transcription#

1. Go to Tools → Caption Maker → + New Job.
2. Select your brand.
3. Upload your video (MP4, MOV, WebM — up to 500 MB).
4. Select a caption preset and configure:
   • Style — 15 presets: Classic, Bold Outline, Yellow Bold, Red Pill, Black Pill, Blue Pill, Purple Pill, Green Pill, Orange Pill, Neon Yellow, Neon Cyan, Pink, Minimal, Cinematic, None
   • Alignment — Top / Upper / Center / Lower / Bottom
   • Font size — 48, 64, 80, or 96 px
5. Click Generate Captions and wait ~30–60 seconds.

Phase 2 — Review & edit#

Once transcription is complete, you'll see the Edit Captions screen:

• Each caption cue is shown with its timestamp and text.
• You can edit the text of any cue (fix spelling, punctuation, or translation errors).
• Timestamps are locked — only text can be changed.
• When satisfied, click Approve & Embed Captions.

The final render takes 1–3 minutes depending on video length.

Download#

Click Download Video on the results screen.

Tips#

• The tool auto-detects language — it works with any language Deepgram supports (50+).
• Edit the transcript before approving to fix any mis-heard words.
• For Shorts or Reels, use Bottom alignment with a pill-style preset for maximum visibility.
