Shorts Maker#

What it is: Automatically clips the most engaging moments from a long-form video and produces up to 3 vertical (9:16) YouTube Shorts, complete with styled captions.

What it produces#

• Up to 3 short video clips (MP4, 9:16 aspect ratio)
• Burned-in captions in your chosen style
• Each clip is independently downloadable

How to use it#

1. Go to Tools → Shorts Maker → + New Job.
2. Select your brand.
3. Upload your video (MP4, MOV, WebM — up to 500 MB).
4. Select a caption preset — choose from 15 styles:
   • None, Classic, Bold Outline, Yellow Bold, Red Pill, Black Pill, Blue Pill, Purple Pill, Green Pill, Orange Pill, Neon Yellow, Neon Cyan, Pink, Minimal, Cinematic
5. Click Create Shorts and wait for processing (typically 2–5 minutes).
6. Download any or all clips from the results page.

How the AI picks moments#

The pipeline transcribes your video, identifies the highest-engagement segments (based on speech density, topic shifts, and emotional peaks), then renders each segment as a vertical clip with captions.

3. Transcription — Deepgram Nova-3 (multilingual, auto language detection)
4. Highlight detection — AI scores segments
5. Render — FFmpeg clips + caption burn-in

Tips#

• Videos with a clear speaker and minimal background noise produce better highlight detection.
• Caption presets that use solid pill backgrounds (e.g. Red Pill, Black Pill) tend to be more readable on busy footage.
• Download all 3 clips and test which one performs best before committing to a series.
