Thumb Translate#

What it is: Translates all visible text in a YouTube thumbnail into another language while preserving the original design — background, colors, faces, layout, and font style.

What it produces#

A translated thumbnail image (JPEG, 1920×1080 px) that looks identical to the original except the text is in your target language.

How to use it#

1. Go to Tools → Thumb Translate → + New Translation.
2. Select your brand.
3. Choose your source:
   • From your channel — paste your YouTube channel URL, browse your videos, and select one.
   • YouTube URL — paste a specific video URL.
   • Upload — upload a thumbnail image file directly.
4. Select the target language — choose from 16 languages.
5. Click Translate Thumbnail.
6. Wait ~30–90 seconds for the AI to process.
7. Click Download to save the translated thumbnail.

How to use it on YouTube#

1. Go to YouTube Studio → Content.
2. Click the pencil (Edit) icon on your video.
3. In the Thumbnail section, click Upload thumbnail.
4. Upload the translated thumbnail file.
5. Save.

For localized channels, you can upload different thumbnails for different language versions by creating separate videos or using YouTube's audience targeting features.

Tips#

• The AI uses the highest available resolution (1280×720 from YouTube, or your uploaded file) as input. For best output quality, upload the original high-resolution thumbnail directly.
• The output is always rendered at 1920×1080 px — upscaled if necessary.
• If the translation looks off (wrong word order, incorrect characters), try re-running. The AI includes grammar and capitalization rules specific to each language.
