Thumbnail Maker#

What it is: An AI image generator that creates YouTube thumbnails based on a style preset, a photo of you, a competitor thumbnail as style reference, or all three combined.

What it produces#

A 1792×1024 px (16:9) JPEG thumbnail generated by GPT-image-2, ready to upload to YouTube.

How to use it#

1. Go to Tools → Thumbnail Maker → + New Thumbnail.
2. Select your brand.
3. Choose your inputs (you can combine them):
   • Photo — upload a portrait photo of yourself or your subject. The AI will preserve facial likeness.
   • Style reference — select a thumbnail you've saved from Competitor Analysis. The AI matches the visual style of that thumbnail.
   • Neither — the AI generates freely based on the selected preset.
4. Select a preset (skip this step if you've chosen a style reference):
   • 20+ presets are available: Bold Text, Cinematic, Neon, Reaction, Tutorial, and more.
5. Enter your title text — the text that will appear on the thumbnail.
6. Click Generate Thumbnails — 3 variations are produced.
7. Download the one you prefer.

Saving competitor thumbnails#

Open any competitor's video in Competitor Analysis → Thumbnails tab and click the heart icon to save a thumbnail as a style reference. Saved thumbnails appear in the Thumbnail Maker's style reference picker.

Tips#

• Use a high-resolution, well-lit portrait photo for best face results.
• The combined mode (photo + reference) gives the most personalized results.
• If you don't like all 3 variations, click Generate Again for a fresh set.
